In March 2023, our community was shaken by the tragic loss of nine Fort Campbell soldiers during a nighttime training mission in Trigg County. Their service, their sacrifice, and the families forever changed by that night became the heart of a shared calling. This memorial park was created to honor them — a place where remembrance, gratitude, and quiet reflection can live side by side. It stands as a promise that their legacy will never be forgotten.

Trigg County has always been a place where neighbors show up for one another. In the days following the accident, local residents, veterans, families, and civic leaders came together with a single purpose: to build something meaningful, lasting, and worthy of those we lost. The memorial park reflects the spirit of this community — generous, united, and deeply committed to honoring service. Every stone, path, and flag represents the hands and hearts that helped bring it to life.

Phase 2 will include signage, sidewalks, and landscaping around the monument. Phase 2 will expand the memorial into a fully realized park — adding clear signage, accessible sidewalks, and thoughtful landscaping around the monument. The committee is also planning new installations to honor Trigg County veterans who served in past wars and conflicts. With community support, this next phase will create a place of remembrance that reflects the depth of our gratitude and the stories of all who served.
We’d be honored to have you visit the memorial and experience this tribute to our veterans firsthand.
